RWC Opening Ceremony

The huge bright lights glimmer like the moon. The white foggy smoke rose onto the gigantic field. Mysteriously a brown Maori woman appeared in the middle of the rugby field.
She stood there looking ready to call her warriors as Koru patters were radiating from her feet. The young warriors swiftly rose their items mimicking her penetrating call.
Suddenly in a beam of light the warriors evaporated and a gentle tranquil ocean replaced them. Shining in the bright sunlight, Diamond looking boats crossed the glittering surface while poised dancers followed the glimmering boats.

The war in Inverness

On the 5th of February in 1649 the battle of Inverness took place. Charles the second and his allies were in hiding when they decided to fight for the castle Inverness another time.
On the 22nd of February they went in castle Inverness and banished the Garrison from castle Inverness and soon smashed the walls and barriers.
On the 26th of February a meeting was held. In here they made laws. They took the laws of the six northern countries to be able to govern themselves.
Soon general David Leslie and Lord Newark went north to attack.
The families went back to Ross shire. Leslie placed a garrison in the Castle Chanonry and agreements of surrender were made between the clans except for the Mackenzie clan. When the Leslie’s left the Mackenzie’s attacked and got back castle Chanonry.
